June 13, 2016

MEMPHIS, Tenn., June 13, 2016 – FedEx (NYSE: FDX) has once again been recognized by IDG’s Computerworld  as a 2016 Best Place to Work in IT.  This year, FedEx Services ranked #35 among large organizations on the list of the 100 top organizations that challenge their IT staffs while providing great benefits and compensation.  This is the 17th time that FedEx has earned this recognition.

The Best Places to Work in IT list is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals by Computerworld.  The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training and retention.  In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers at the qualifying companies, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.

“FedEx is proud to be consistently recognized as a great place to work in IT,” said Robert B. Carter, executive vice president and chief information officer, FedEx Corp.  “Our people-first culture celebrates the talents of our IT team members around the world and has inspired the digital transformation that will enable FedEx to continue to meet the growing needs of our customers and will position the company for long-term success.”

FedEx is currently mid-way through its ten-year digital transformation initiative, focused on IT modernization and simplification.  The company’s commitment to its people, culture and innovation has provided many opportunities for team members to learn and develop throughout this transformation.

“The organizations on this year’s Best Places to Work in IT list excel at creating a dynamic and satisfying IT work environment,” says Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld.  “In a competitive market for tech talent, these outstanding employers are able to attract highly skilled IT pros by offering great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging, business-critical projects.”

Organizations will be included in coverage in Computerworld along with results from the 23rd annual Best Places to Work in IT survey.
