Free Wi-Fi at FedEx Office: Delivering Digital Connections

October 13, 2010

There’s no doubt about it – we live in a connected world, and our ties to other people, places and companies grow greater each day.

In my role overseeing operations for more than 1,900 FedEx Office locations around the world, I have a unique view of this connectivity. From the projects people print to where they send their packages, technology is used seamlessly to do it all. Wireless connectivity is making it easier than ever for people to access their information, whether they are across town or across the globe.

For many of our customers, digital connectivity is a necessity in this increasingly mobile and un-wired world. From job seekers and college students to mobile professionals and small business owners, they all need fast, convenient, and reliable access to the Internet. And with business travel making a comeback after the economic slowdown, the availability of Wi-Fi in convenient and business-friendly settings will be increasingly critical.

That need for access and connectivity among all our customers is a major force behind our rollout of free, unlimited Wi-Fi access at more than 1,600 FedEx Office locations across the US. As of today, we have1,400+ FedEx Office Print & Ship Centers that now offer free Wi-Fi service provided through AT&T, and the remaining rollout is scheduled to be completed by the end of this month.
