OBAP and FedEx – Delivering Dreams, Together!

The Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) celebrated its 36th Annual Convention and Career Fair Exhibition in a historical way.  This year’s convention was held in conjunction with nine other black aviation groups for a “co-convention.”  It was the largest gathering of black aviation professionals ever and FedEx was a proud sponsor!  Among those in attendance were some original Tuskegee Airmen and George Lucas, producer of the hit movie “Red Tails,” a story that chronicles the lives of the Tuskegee Airmen!

A Day in the Life of a Corporate Grant Maker (Yep. I love my job.)

So, my wife just called me and asked "Whatcha doin'?" I told her that I was emailing someone in Brussels about a grant recommendation to a charity in India being worked on by someone in D.C.  When I hung up the phone after our brief chat I found myself ridiculously happy about my work. I love my job.

FedEx Office Provides Free Resume Printing on March 10

No one needs reminding that America’s workforce has been affected by these challenging economic times. The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently said the country’s unemployment rate stands at 7.6 percent, and the Federal Reserve believes it could go far higher. That means many of our friends, family members, and neighbors are looking for employment, working tirelessly to get their resume in front of recruiters and hiring managers.

The Journey of Finding Balance

This year is my 30th anniversary here at FedEx. The Company is 35 years old, so you can imagine I've seen, experienced and been through a lot of change. In that time I've been fortunate to grow my professional career to a point where today I serve as vice president of FedEx Customer Information Services customer service operations. I have had the opportunity to hold many different positions throughout the company which has given me the ability to grow and learn.
