How to Write the Winning College Entrance Essay: Tips from the FedEx Design Team

The Global Citizenship team has supported the Memphis Challenge program for several years through charitable giving. Team members used their knowledge and skills as writers to assist Memphis-area high school seniors who are a part of this program. Informally known as the “FedEx Design Team,” those team members have conducted an annual workshop since 2007 on “How to Write the Winning College Entrance Essay.”

FedEx Invests in Hispanic Scholarship Fund and Outreach Programs

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholarship Fund (HSF)announced that FedEx will be supporting the nation's largest Latino scholarship organization over the next three years with a $352,500 committment.  The funding will provide scholarships for students and support for four community education programs in local markets. I recently served on a team of FedEx writers that conducted a college essay writing workshop for Memphis high school seniors interested in getting into some of the nation's most prestigious colleges. The FedEx team, comprised of communications managers and senior specialists who write for global audiences, focused on how to write college entrance essays that stand out from the crowd.
