[Video] I am FedEx: Classical dance from India

I don't just love dance - I respect dance. It allows someone to keep their body and mind free and fresh without focusing time on gym, diet and so on. When I go for dance class I really forget what the rest of the world is doing. It's just simply tap your feet and move your body as the music goes. Remote reps moving towards the ‘Paperless Office’

When we think about sustainability and our customer service remote rep program, the first thing that comes to mind is how we have reduced carbon emissions by elimination the daily commute. We have another way in which our program is EarthSmart (solutions for a more sustainable world), and that is the reduction of our use of paper and striving toward becoming a ‘paperless office.’

Business Expertise-Customer Analytics

For me, some aspects of great customer service never change, such as wanting to “hear a smile” in the voice of the person helping me.Nearly 30 years ago, I joined FedEx Customer Service Operations to answer customer calls.  Some customers wanted to track a package while others called to arrange a pick-up or find a drop-off location.  All of them wanted to feel that I was listening attentively and cared about helping them.

The annual Team of the Year competition – in place since the 1980s, when the company was known as Kinko’s – is reserved to honor the best-of-the-best in our organization. One cluster, or group of stores, and one standalone center are selected based on their record of customer service, team member retention and financial performance. We also honor the top sales team in the nation for their hard work, sales performance and commitment to customers.

Pack, Ship and Win

Last week, FedEx Office had some extra holiday help. And no, it’s not what you think - Santa’s elves are still working hard at the North Pole. Instead, NFL players practiced their off-field skills of packing and shipping for customers in Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.   This event kicked off a national sweepstakes that offers customers a chance to win a trip to the Super Bowl XLIV, the 2010 Pro Bowl and other great prizes.

I’m Happy to Serve at FedEx

I like challenges. I’ve decided to challenge myself this week and I want you to do the same.  I want to challenge you this week to thank those around us who help us everyday try to balance my life.   This week is Administrative Assistant week.  It is a time set aside to thank those who make our lives easier.  As I thought of the continuous challenge of balancing our lives and specifically our work life; I was reminded of just how many people I rely on to accomplish all the projects in my life.
