Cousins Unite Against Cancer

Remco de Jong and Sean West are brothers-in-law and FedEx employees who have a strong relationship with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – both have children who have undergone treatment for cancer there and both run as St. Jude Heroes on Team FedEx, raising money for cancer research. Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service in Atlanta with Stop Hunger Now

On January 20th, 80 FedEx employees gathered in a warehouse in South Atlanta to package 20,088 meals through Stop Hunger Now, a global humanitarian aid organization aimed at ending hunger worldwide. In just two short hours these employees filled, weighed, sealed, and boxed thousands of bags containing a nutrient-rich mixture of rice, soy, and vegetables.

Remote reps moving towards the ‘Paperless Office’

When we think about sustainability and our customer service remote rep program, the first thing that comes to mind is how we have reduced carbon emissions by elimination the daily commute. We have another way in which our program is EarthSmart (solutions for a more sustainable world), and that is the reduction of our use of paper and striving toward becoming a ‘paperless office.’

FedEx Express Ranked Among “World’s Best Multinational Workplaces”

It was certainly great news on October 28 when the Great Place to WorkInstitute ranked FedEx Express #5 on the organization’s first-ever list of the World’s Best Multinational Workplaces 2011. Employees working at the 25 companies on the list were selected to take a survey conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute that asked them to share their views on numerous factors that included credibility, fairness and pride.

[VIDEO] EarthSmart Outreach in Indianapolis

Over 50 FedEx team members joined Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to help restore and beautify the Pogue’s Run watershed on the Eastside of Indianapolis. As part of the corporation’s EarthSmart Outreach program, FedEx employees in twelve cities have teamed with local nonprofit agencies for a day of service addressing pressing urban environmental challenges.

Eleven employees received the Purple Promise Award and 15 received the Humanitarian Award.
