Only 8 years old and already a FedEx team member: The unusual story of Nick from Germany

Man, what a lucky young boy. I just met Nick and can´t wait to tell you his unusual story: He is the newest member of the FedEx team, the coolest family in the world! Here at FedEx, he has almost 700 “flying relatives”, starting from small Cessnas to the great big Boeing 777F. And you can´t imagine how proud he is to be a member of such a gigantic family. I bet you're wondering how he managed this… Well, I´ll tell you. Nick is 8 years old and he´s a stork.

How to plant 1,000 trees in less than 90 minutes

For all of you who've never heard of Felix Finkbeiner – NOT MANY, I'M SURE – he's a young boy from Southern Germany who turned a 2007 homework assignment into a project to change the world. At the age of 9, Felix demanded: We “stop talking” and do something! Plant-for-the-Planet was born. The idea is simple: Children should plant one million trees in every country of the world to make it a better place.

A European travel blog: Views on the current economic picture, the future, and FedEx

I was fortunate to be able to represent FedEx at several business forums in Central Europe this month, and found that stepping away from life here in the U.S. added to my perspective.
