Giant Saxophone Arrives in New Orleans for City’s Tricentennial

On April 5th, 2018, the city of New Orleans will celebrate its 300th anniversary. As a gift from the city of Namur, Belgium, FedEx will transport a giant saxophone to New Orleans for the city’s tricentennial celebration.

FedEx Helps with Preparations and Delivery of Baskets for Hundreds of Hospitalized Children

In the midst of Super Bowl XLVII weekend excitement in New Orleans, FedEx volunteers joined a group of nearly 100 volunteers, along with some of the New Orleans Saints players, at De Salle High School in support of the 2nd Annual Super Basket of Hope to help fill 250 baskets and totes with gifts for hospitalized children and their parents. This event was hosted by Basket of Hope, created in 1995, that provides gift baskets and hope totes to children diagnosed with cancer or other serious illnesses.

Smile on George’s face…priceless: a sustainable approach to long term disaster recovery

As we pull up in front of the lot in late August – construction still in progress – the smile on George’s face is priceless. He bounds out of the car, camera in hand, and starts snapping away, taking photos of a new home being built in the Broadmoor neighborhood in New Orleans (see photo).
