Business Leaders Share Practical Tips and Inspiring Ideas at FedEx Workshop for Young Entrepreneurs
BANGKOK, June 22, 2015 – Some of Thailand’s aspiring young entrepreneurs enjoyed the rare chance to meet business leaders face-to-face at the 2015 International Trade Workshop organised by FedEx Express and Junior Achievement Thailand on June 20.
The 128 grade-12 students who attended the event, participated in the first stage of the 2015 FedEx Express/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge (FedEx/JA ITC) — a multi-phased program designed to inspire Thai youth to pursue their business dreams.
At the workshop, students were tasked to find solutions to real life business issues in team challenge events and were mentored by business experts who shared their experience in trade, finance, marketing and other areas of business.
To extend their commercial education, the students will develop a new product and business plan in stage two of the program, held from June 21 to July 12. The top eight teams will then present their ideas to a panel of judges at the FedEx/JA ITC Thailand Finals in Bangkok on July 24.
The judges will select the top three winning teams to represent Thailand at the Regional Finals to be held in Singapore, August 10-13, where they will compete against students from eight other Asia Pacific markets—Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.
Now in its seventh year, the FedEx Express/Junior Achievement International Trade Challenge in Thailand has inspired entrepreneurism in more than 800 students
