FedEx Announces Range of Domestic Service Enhancements

September 7, 2007

TAIPEI, Sept. 7, 2007 – FedEx Express (FedEx), a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, today announced a series of enhancements to its domestic time-definite services in China. The move is designed to allow FedEx to meet the growing needs of customers.

Starting this week, Saturday will be a normal business day, with full pickup and delivery services available for all FedEx domestic services. In addition, FedEx now offers proof of delivery, has increased the maximum declared value of each shipment, and provides the backing of a money-back guarantee* to all domestic delivery services.

“Businesses in China cannot afford to wait for crucial deliveries,” said David L. Cunningham Jr., president, FedEx Express, Asia Pacific. “Since we launched time-definite services in China, customers have come to regard FedEx as an indispensable part of doing business. The service enhancements we are launching demonstrate our commitment to meeting the needs of the market.”

“The service philosophy of FedEx is to continuously enhance our service offerings in order to provide better and more comprehensive services to customers,” said Jimmy Chen, regional vice president, Domestic Service, FedEx China. “These enhancements of our domestic services in China are another demonstration of how we execute our service philosophy innovatively in this important marketplace. Our customers will benefit significantly from our enhanced services”

The enhancements announced today comprise:
Ÿ             Saturday operation – Customers can now call the Customer Service hotline on Saturdays to ship domestic packages, enjoying the same level of reliable and fast domestic delivery as they do from Monday to Friday;
Ÿ             Proof of Delivery – Customers can receive Proof of Delivery by fax or opt for “Return Proof of Delivery” to receive consignee-signed FedEx Consignment Notes or their own documents;
Ÿ             An increase in shipment value – The maximum declared value for a single domestic shipment is now RMB250,000, up from RMB100,000, giving customers greater confidence when shipping valuable goods; and,
Ÿ             Money-back guarantee* – The backing of a money-back guarantee is being extended to the 48-hour day-definite service. This means all FedEx delivery services in China are now backed by a money-back guarantee, demonstrating the company’s confidence and ability in delivering packages safely and on time.
“By introducing these new value-added services to the market, FedEx is well-positioned to raise the bar of domestic services in the Chinese market,” added Mr. Chen. “We will keep upgrading our domestic services based on the needs of our customers in order to ensure their FedEx experience is outstanding.”

FedEx began offering domestic time-definite service in China on May 28 this year. The next-business-day time-definite service benefits customers in more than 30 cities, while the 48-hour day-definite service reaches more than 200 cities and counties in the country.
