FedEx Is Ready For Its Bollywood Close-Up

March 15, 2007

MUMBAI, March 15, 2007—FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) the world’s largest express transportation company, has found the perfect recipe to delight its Indian customers—a combination of the two biggest passions of India Bollywood and cricket.

This cricket season, FedEx has secured an in-film placement in the upcoming movie “Hattrick,” from UTV Motion Pictures, set against a cricket backdrop.  Scheduled for release on March 16, the movie will feature FedEx playing a key role in the film.

Consistently identified as one of the world’s most respected companies and great places to work, FedEx has a strong track-record of commitment to understanding the local communities where it operates.  Cricket, which upholds the values that FedEx believes in—teamwork and reliability—is the one sport that Indians, across all age groups and regions, are passionate about.

“We at FedEx are committed to delighting our customers and are constantly exploring ways and means to connect with them.  We decided to tie-up with “Hattrick,” as the movie brings together the two greatest passions of our Indian customers,” said Jacques Creeten, Vice President India, FedEx Express.

“Hattrick is a simple story about individuals committed to achieving their goals and their ultimate victory over adversities. We are very happy to associate with FedEx, who also believes in going that extra mile to make a difference in the lives of its customers,” said Siddharth Roy Kapur, senior vice president, Marketing and Communications, UTV. “With cricket’s huge popularity in India and the Cricket World Cup being played here in the spring, we are confident that the movie will receive a tremendous response.”
