On Wednesday, October 16, Frederick W. Smith, Chairman and CEO of FedEx Corporation, opens a dynamic day of discussion on energy security 40 years after the OPEC oil embargo. Hosted by Securing America’s Future Energy (SAFE), “OPEC +40: A National Summit on Energy Security” will highlight the enduring threat posed by America’s continued reliance on oil and emphasize the urgent need for action to combat this vulnerability.
The event will feature nationally recognized business and political leaders including former Cabinet Members Henry Kissinger, Madeleine Albright, Leon Panetta and James Schlesinger.
