The transition period granted by US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has now ended, and prior notice and facility registration are required for all affected food imports into the US. Increased enforcement for food shipments without proper registration and prior notice includes refusal of admission to the US and civil monetary penalties. > More
The Advance Cargo Information final ruling became effective on January 5, 2004, with regional implementation scheduled to begin in August 2004. This requirement should have a minimal impact on FedEx customers. > More
