Teamsters Withdraw Another Petition on Eve of Election

Today, Wednesday, November 19, for the second time in less than three weeks, the union withdrew its petition for an election the day before a vote, this time in South Newark, NJ. On October 30, the union withdrew its election petition, one day before a scheduled vote at the FedEx Freight North Harrisburg service center in Middletown, PA. Union officials generally withdraw election petitions when they believe they are going to lose.
